A plane crash over the Caribbean Sea claimed the lives of German actor Christian Oliver and his two young daughters, along with the pilot. Christian Oliver was known for his roles in movies like ‘The Good German’ with George Clooney and ‘Speed Racer’ in 2008. The local police reported that the single-engine plane,

owned by an American citizen named Robert Sachs, plunged into the sea soon after taking off. The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force confirmed Oliver’s death in a statement on Thursday. Four bodies were recovered from the crash site by fishermen, divers, and the Coast Guard.

Oliver, his daughters Madita (10) and Annik (12), and Sachs were all 51 years old. The crash happened around noon on Thursday, when the plane was flying from Bequia, a tiny island in the Grenadines, to St Lucia.

Oliver and his family seemed to be enjoying their holiday, as he shared a photo of a tropical beach on Instagram a few days before. He wrote, “Greetings from somewhere in paradise!
