Nupur Shikhare shares a first picture with Ira Khan from their wedding reception; says, 'want to be very married with you'


Nupur Shikhare, the husband of Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan, took to Instagram to share a lovely picture with his wife from their wedding reception. The couple, who got married in a registered ceremony on January 3, hosted a grand reception for their industry friends on January 13.

In the picture, Nupur and Ira can be seen smiling and holding hands as they pose for the camera. Nupur is wearing a black suit and a red tie, while Ira is looking gorgeous in a red lehenga and a green dupatta. They both have garlands around their necks and sindoor on their foreheads.

Nupur captioned the post, “Want to be very married with you @khan.ira.” He also added a heart emoji and a hashtag #nupuraira. Ira commented on the post with a heart emoji and a kiss emoji.

The reception was attended by many Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Karan Johar, and others. Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Kiran Rao were also present to bless the newlyweds.

Ira and Nupur’s love story began during the lockdown, when Nupur, who is a fitness trainer, helped Ira with her workouts. They made their relationship official on social media in 2021, and got engaged in May. They had a pre-wedding party at Aamir’s residence Galaxy Apartments, followed by a haldi ceremony and a wedding at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. They also had another wedding ceremony in Udaipur on January 8, where they followed the Maharashtrian rituals.
