New Zealand cruised to a 9-wicket win over Pakistan in the second Twenty20 international at Seddon Park, Hamilton on Sunday. Chasing 164 to win, the hosts reached the target with five balls to spare, thanks to a 129-run partnership between captain Kane Williamson and Glenn Phillips.

Williamson scored an unbeaten 57 off 42 balls, hitting four fours and two sixes. Phillips smashed 58 off 31 balls, hitting six fours and four sixes. The duo made light work of the chase, after Martin Guptill fell for 21 in the fourth over.

Earlier, Pakistan posted 163 for 6 in their 20 overs, after winning the toss and opting to bat first. Mohammad Rizwan top-scored with 51 off 35 balls, hitting six fours and a six. He shared a 72-run stand with Mohammad Hafeez, who made 41 off 29 balls, hitting two fours and three sixes.
