The 20 teams will be divided into four groups of five, with the top two teams from each group advancing to the Super 8 stage. The Super 8 teams will be split into two groups of four, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the semi-finals. The final will be held on June 29 at the Kensington Oval in Barbados3

The tournament promises to be a thrilling spectacle of cricket, with some high-profile clashes and exciting match-ups. The most anticipated match of the group stage is the India-Pakistan encounter, which will take place in New York on June 9. The two arch-rivals have not played a bilateral series since 2013, and their last meeting in a T20 World Cup was in 2016, when India won by six wickets4

Other intriguing matches in the group stage include England vs Australia, New Zealand vs South Africa, West Indies vs Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan vs Bangladesh. The Super 8 stage will also feature some potential blockbuster games, depending on the group standings and results.

The tournament will also showcase the talent and diversity of the emerging cricket nations, such as Canada, Uganda, Nepal, and Papua New Guinea, who will be eager to prove themselves on the global stage. The hosts, the United States, will also hope to make an impact and attract more fans and players to the sport in their country.

The T20 World Cup 2024 will be a historic and exciting event for cricket lovers around the world, as the shortest and most dynamic format of the game will be played in new and diverse venues, with some of the best players and teams competing for the coveted trophy5
