LG MyView 4K monitors with webOS compete with Samsung Smart Monitors


LG has unveiled its latest range of smart monitors named MyView, comprising three models: 32SR85U, 32SR83U, and 32SR70U. The lineup positions the 32SR85U as the flagship variant, followed by the 32SR83U and the 32SR70U models.

Display Specifications In terms of display panels, all three monitors boast a 31.5-inch IPS LCD with a 4K resolution, a 60Hz refresh rate, a 5ms response time, 95% DCI-P3 color gamut coverage, and HDR10 support. While the 32SR70U offers a brightness of 350cd/m2, both the 32SR83U and the 32SR85U models feature a higher brightness level of 400cd/m2.

Operating System and Smart Features Each model is equipped with webOS 23, the latest version of LG's operating system designed for televisions, monitors, speakers, and wireless connectivity. This integration allows users to utilize the monitors as smart TVs independently. Furthermore, the monitors support LG's webcam, enabling video calling functionality. Notably, the 32SR85U includes a bundled webcam for added convenience.




Connectivity Options: In terms of wireless connectivity, the monitors support Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, although specific versions have not been disclosed by LG. For wired connections, all models are equipped with 2x HDMI ports. The 32SR85U stands out with 3x USB Type-C ports providing a robust 90W power output. The 32SR83U also features 3x USB Type-C ports but with a slightly lower 65W power output. On the other hand, the 32SR70U has a single USB Type-C port delivering 45W power and includes 2x USB Type-A 2.0 ports, a feature not present in the other two models.

Pricing and Availability: LG plans to unveil the MyView monitor lineup at CES 2024, scheduled from January 9 to 12 in Las Vegas. Anticipate detailed information regarding pricing and availability to be disclosed during the event.
