Odisha FC's head coach, Sergio Lobera, is setting his sights on securing a full three points against Punjab FC in the upcoming Indian Super League (ISL) clash at Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in New Delhi on Tuesday.
After Punjab FC clinched their historic first-ever ISL victory, breaking a 10-match losing streak, they are eager to maintain the winning momentum against Odisha FC on their home turf. The Kalinga Warriors, on the other hand, aim to extend their unbeaten streak to five matches and achieve three consecutive clean sheets in the ISL.
In a pre-match press conference, Lobera emphasized the importance of his players focusing on their own performance and remaining loyal to their style of play.
"Our plan is to put the focus on ourselves," said Lobera. "The most important thing is to be loyal to our style of play. We acknowledge that we are up against a team with high motivation following their recent victory, but they have shown commendable performances against other teams," he added.
As Odisha FC gears up for the clash, Lobera's emphasis on self-focus and commitment to their unique playing style underscores the team's determination to secure a favorable outcome in the upcoming match.

Acknowledging the challenges of adapting to the Indian Super League (ISL) in the first year, Odisha FC's head coach, Sergio Lobera, expressed admiration for Punjab FC's style of play.
"I like how Punjab FC is playing," remarked Lobera. "I think they are playing very well. They are trying to play good football. I like the team very much. Obviously, the first year of ISL is very difficult because of its reputation and progress. The last win gives them motivation for this game," he shared.
Following a goalless draw against East Bengal FC in their recent match, Lobera stressed the importance of quick player recovery during the hectic schedule.
"After our draw against East Bengal FC, the most important thing for us is to recover the players quickly because we have three games in practically seven days," he opined.
Excitement looms for Lobera's squad as they gear up for the upcoming game, aiming to secure points before the break. Despite anticipating a challenging match on Tuesday against Punjab FC, Lobera expressed confidence, stating, "We are here; we are ready for the challenges." The coach's positive outlook and readiness underline Odisha FC's determination to face and overcome the obstacles that lie ahead in the ISL campaign.
